很多人在洗车的时候，店员们就会询问是否需要打蜡，而现在市面上车蜡的种类也越来越多，而且价格也不一样，很多人在这种时候就不会询问效果，而是先问价钱，其实这样对于车辆来讲是不利的，对于车蜡一定要根据车辆的情况进行选择，以免对车不能起到保护作用。一般情况下需要根据车漆和车的年限进行选择，很多的车蜡具有镀光的作用，而且一年四季不同的时候对于车蜡的选择是不一样的。
其实，打蜡就像是人涂抹化妆品时候是一样的很正常。但是在打蜡的时候也一定要注意，不要盲目的给车打蜡，虽然这对车是一种保护，但是如果做得不得当，反而会对车造成一定的影响，而且如果过于频繁地给车辆进行打蜡，就相当于在损害车辆。而也有些人为了省钱，会自己给车打蜡，但是这个时候一定要注意，打蜡时不要碰到塑料布件，如果不小心触碰到，也很难清理。其实打蜡对于专业性要求也比较高，尽量不要自己去操作，去4S店打打蜡比较好。
打蜡对于防止雨水和酸雨有着很好的保护作用，可以隔离50%以上的水滴，圆环腐蚀性，但是在生活中打蜡，也一定要注意频率如果太过于频繁的话，会对车漆产生很大的影响。特别对于一些新手朋友来说，一年四次左右就够了，基本上三四个月打一次蜡就可以。
一般新车提回来不需要对车辆进行打蜡，因为新车车身漆层已经有了一层保护蜡，半年之内其实是不需要打蜡的，如果过早地打蜡就会把新车表面的原装蜡破坏掉，造成不必要的浪费。虽然给车辆打蜡可以让自己的爱车更加的光鲜亮丽，但是再打蜡方面也不是说随意想打就打的，所以大家在打蜡时也要多加注意，选择专业的店用合适的车蜡。
