近日，有外媒曝光了全新一代宝马1系内饰谍照，这也是该车内饰首次曝光。其采用宝马最新家族化设计，整体风格偏向全新宝马3系。据悉，新车基于前驱平台UKL打造，有望在今年3月开幕的日内瓦车展上亮相。
新车内饰与全新一代宝马3系极为相似，悬浮式中控屏与全液晶仪表盘采用相连设计，尽显科技感。此外，宝马全新造型的电子挡杆也并没有缺席。同时还配有全新造型的方向盘和最新一代iDrive系统。值得一提的是iDrive旋钮周边的快捷按键，由现款的物理按键变为感应式触控按键，更具质感。
新车外观采用了更大尺寸的进气格栅，同时前大灯组更加扁平，整个前脸显得更具攻击性。车身侧面，低矮的侧腰线进一步降低车型整体的视觉效果，尾灯造型更贴近全新3系设计，同时采用了双边共两出的排气布局。
动力方面，外媒预计全新1系将推出PHEV车型（插电混动车型），动力系统或将由1.5T三缸发动机和电动机组合而成。此外，M140i车型可能不会再使用3.0T直列六缸发动机，取而代之的可能是一台全新的四缸发动机，预计最大功率有望超过350马力。
