就像人的鼻子在堵塞的时候会感觉呼吸不顺畅，整个人乏力精神萎靡。发动机积碳过多的时候，也会出现“精神萎靡”的情况。很多车主都有过这样的体验，自己的车在开过几年之后，动力表现越来越差。而积碳过多是其中一个重要原因。
当积碳过多的时候，我们自然要送到专业的修理店去清洗积碳。那么如何判断自己的爱车是否积碳过多？学会了这四个判断方法，自己也能知道个八九不离十了。
动力表现下降
当发动机积碳堆积过多的时候，附在火花塞的积碳会减弱它的点火能力，附在节气门的积碳也会影响进气量，这样就导致进气量不足。然后燃油和空气的混合气体进入发动机燃烧室之后，火花塞的点火能力又不足，导致燃油燃烧不够充分。这样一来不仅动力出现下降，还会继续产生积碳，形成恶性循环。
油耗上升
动力出现下降，车主感觉到动力很肉，那么想提速的话自然会踩油门的幅度大，这样一来油耗就飙升了。长此以往，车主就会感叹这车怎么变成“油老虎”了，兜里的钱都喂它去了。
冷车启动怠速不稳定
如果车辆在冷车启动之后，发动机怠速忽高忽低不稳定，并伴随着比较明显的抖动的话，那么说明发动机内部的积碳也比较严重了，并且尾气也会比较刺鼻。虽说尾气都不好闻，但是刺不刺鼻还是能分辨得出的。
观察发动机内部
当车辆行驶完之后熄火，五分钟过后观察一下机油加注口盖是否比较脏。另外查看一下发动机内是否存在黑色的碳化粉末。如果发现有的话，那说明发动机的积碳已经相当严重，需要赶紧去清洗积碳。
