汽车毕竟不是衣服，不能旧了就换新的，面对开了一阵的爱车，很多人都想做点什么让它焕然一新，思来想去，那就给车改个色吧。很多人对汽车改色还停留在“非法改装”上，但早在2008年车辆改色政策就已经放开了，现在车辆改色合法，只是需要注意几点：
1、车辆改色后，需在10天内去当地车管所备案登记；（备案只有工本费，立等可取，如果和原车颜色接近可不用备案）2、全车贴膜颜色不能超过3种；（小面积也包括在内）3、不要与特种车外观相同；4、电镀系列产品的汽车改色膜及其全部反光面料的汽车改色膜均不能变更车辆行驶证。以上是汽车改色膜的基本限定，但全国各地现行政策不同，所以还是要因地制宜，遵循法规。汽车改色通常有两种办法，贴改色膜和喷漆。相对于改色膜，喷漆要毁掉原车漆，而且有大量的拆解和组装工作，时间较长，且喷漆水平参差不齐。另外，喷漆之后的车，哪怕是单纯为了改色，对二手残值也有一定影响。
改色膜不但不用毁掉原车漆，还具有一定的保护作用，也不用拆散，不用担心二手残值受到影响，还有多种颜色、光泽可选。
