曾经被誉为“屌丝三宝”之一的迈锐宝，在2016年推出了“加大版”车型—迈锐宝XL，17.99-24.99万元的价格使它脱离了屌丝三宝的阵营。然而，这个被誉为“红十字”的品牌并不具备支撑能力，所以在销量上一直差强人意。
曾经做为性价比最高的美系品牌，自景程开始变开启了它的性价比之路，而后随着迈锐宝的出现，双车型战略便在这个品牌内生根发芽（不仅仅是别克，雪佛兰与凯迪拉克也步入后尘），而后随着景程停产，处于生命周期末端的迈锐宝替代景程成为低价车型，而高端产品便自然由第九代迈锐宝车型来担当品牌形象，在国内被命名为迈锐宝XL。
时过境迁，中级车市场的争夺战更是如火如荼，迈锐宝也即将跌破10万元大关，再回头看迈锐宝XL，乞丐版的售价也跌落到了11.69万元。而最最可怜的要数屁股还没坐稳的Redline 550T车型，刚上市变有了6-7万元的优惠幅度。
而CarFlow车流推荐的迈锐宝车型为Redline 550T 自动锐动版，这台车采用了通用家族最新的2.0T与9AT的动力总成，这台发动机的动力非常强劲，而发动机也源于萨博的B207系列，可谓是天生强大。更关键的是，这套最新的动力总成一直还没有被应用到非凯迪拉克产品序列中，所以迈锐宝XL也是头一个。配合着12余万的价格、7秒左右等加速成绩，真的可谓是良心价格。但是需要注意的一点是这一代的 迈锐宝XL采用的是E2XX平台，所以它的同门兄弟只有君威车型，并没有XTS与君越车型。
最后，再说说这台车的特点。整体来看这台车非常年轻，但是没有太强的运动感，但是它的整体风格与90年代美国船车的设计风格相吻合，仔细对比它与君王、赛百灵以及Regal等车型可以找到非常多相似的语言。内饰偏向于年轻化，配置也较为齐全，所以丐版车型也足以满足需求，创业中的年轻群体可以考虑这台性价比之车。
