心细的朋友会发现这么一个现象，那就是在很多国产汽车中发动机仓都会有一块盖板，而在一些合资车或者进口车上却是很少见到。有趣的是，国产车上的盖板，却成了人们口中的“遮羞盖”。
的确，盖板确实可以掩盖凌乱的发动机舱，同时营造一种“高大上”的视觉观感，给人一种品质上的满足。
只不过对维修师傅来说，也许最讨厌这种“全包围”的车，很可能发动机有点什么小问题需要检测的时候，光拆盖板上的卡扣就要拆半天，当然这些最后还是算在你的维修工时里面。
由于我国汽车工业发展较晚，很多技术都在摸索和模仿中前进，虽然目前自主品牌车企已经有很多自主研发的知识产权，但是独创的技术还是比较少。就算是发动机盖板这样的“小心机”也不是我们自主品牌首创的。

不管是国产车、合资车还是进口车，都有发动机舱盖板的案例存在，且功能基本也一样。所以发动机舱盖板这个问题不能一概而论，认为国产车就“低人一等”。
发动机盖板的作用
而实际上，发动机盖板也是有一定作用的。在盖板发明之初，它并非作为“遮羞盖”使用，而是有很多实际的作用的：
1、降低发动机工作的噪音；
2、防止非专业人员对发动机进行维修保养，对发动机造成不必要的损伤；
3、美观，营造高级感。
发动机盖板的缺点
当然，如果盖板的材质和大小设计不够完美的话，加装盖板也有一定的劣势，最常见的就是散热问题。
对于原装的盖板来说，机舱温度场热管理的影响都是做过大量试验的，不会影响发动机性能的才会安装。所以对于没有盖板的车型最好不要私自加装盖板。
其实现在很多人都没怎么去注意这个盖板，因为车子好不好跟这个盖子并没什么关系。但随着人们审美水平的提升，大多新车为了迎合消费者的口味，也都加装发动机盖板。让发动机舱更整洁、美观。
甚至在宣传的时候，把机舱盖板作为一项卖点。国产车比合资车更在意这一点，也是在隔音降噪方面尽了最大努力。毕竟没有一分钱的成本是白花的。
