在汽车维修保养的过程中，修理厂或4s店的维修人员经常会推荐做清洗节气门的项目。清洗节气门的作用不用多说了，估计已经被店内的服务人员说了无数次，在一些特定的故障下清洗节气门十分见效，就如不好着车、怠速高等现象，但是去修理厂清洗节气门收取的费用并不算低更别提4s店了。其实自己动手清理节气门也是一件非常简单的事情，只需要注意一些事项即可。
目前汽车多为电子节气门，所以在清洗节气门前最好将汽车的钥匙门关掉或者两个人配合(专门有人负责踩住油门)。在拆卸节气门前最好把发动机舱进行简单的清理，发动机盖板拿掉。视线准备好一字改锥（比较方便）或套筒棘轮（看个人情况）、一块干净的棉布、一瓶化清剂即可。其中化清剂需要购买一般不会超过20元，准备这些就可以开始了。
1.将节气门出的进气管道拆除，一般用一字拧开进气管口的卡子，将进气管拔出。在操作过程中应该注意附近的卡子或者细小的管路不要因为用力过大，毁坏了其他部件尤其注意附近的真空管（比较细）。
2.清洗节气门按照效果来看拆洗的效果最佳，但拆洗节气门比较麻烦而且和直接清洗的效果差不多，所以大部分修理厂都不采用拆洗。这时你可以看到在节气门的边缘有一层黑色的物质，我们的目的就是清除这层物质，这层物质会影响节气门的开度，清楚它还原节气门到原来的开度。
3.我们采用两人作业，将钥匙门打开一个人负责踩住油门踏板，这时节气门全开便可进行清洗的工作。
4.将化清喷在棉布上，对节气门内部进行清洁，也可以将化清到节气门内，但量不要太大、尽量不要喷在节气门的转轴上。之后对节气门进行反复的擦拭即可。
5.清洗之后的效果非常明显，内壁和节气门非常干净，清洗效果达到。之后就是装复的工作，装复的工作也不要忽视，不要遗漏误装部件，特别是在装节气门管道时一定要到位避免漏气，需要拔开的插头一定要插好。
6.最后一步匹配节气门，节气门的匹配根据不同的车型有不同的方法，一般匹配只需要断开蓄电即可，注意在匹配前最好查一下车型的匹配方法，有些车型是不能断电的，否则会触发防盗更麻烦，这些车需要电脑匹配。还有一些车只需要打开钥匙门就会自动匹配，匹配完成之后对汽车没有任何的影响。
着车怠速一段时间，怠速趋于平缓稳定，此次清洗节气门的项目就已经完成了。其实清洗节气门对于大部分经济型的车主来说非常实用，还会增加用车的乐趣何乐而不为呢。总的说清洗节气门所用到的工具和消耗品都非常常见价格也便宜，自己动手增加用车乐趣、节约用车成本，同时对汽车也会进一步了解。
