近日，在南海丹横路横江桥路段有一辆小型客车在行驶过程中突然冒烟起火。
幸好，该车驾驶员在火情发生时已经第一时间弃车逃生。消防部门到场后，对起火车辆迅速扑灭，丹灶中队民警安排拖车对烧得只剩下骨架的车辆进行拖移，此次汽车自燃事件并造成无人员伤亡。
线路老化是汽车自燃主因
汽车为什么会发生自燃？南海消防大队介绍，线路老化是导致汽车自燃的主要原因，其中包括电路原因和电器元件问题导致的自燃事故。
尤其是在夏季，在高温天气下，车内容易积聚热量，却无法及时散发，发动机部位的温度就会升高。如果车子的各个零部件长时间处于工作状态，发动机通风不良，就会容易导致电源线短路，引起汽车自燃。
如何预防汽车自燃
夏季来临，“汽车自燃”不可小觑，交警部门表示，事故多由车主举措不当引起。下面这本防范秘笈，每位司机都要看看！一些不起眼的现象或物品，竟都有可能成为汽车自燃的诱因！
汽车自燃不仅造成财产损失，而且还会造成人员伤亡，要预防汽车自燃，需要做好以下措施。

温馨提醒：车内的打火机、香水、碳酸饮料等等这些易燃物品都有可能导致汽车自燃。为了安全，请勿将这些易燃易爆物品放置车内。
汽车自燃，怎么应对？
如果一旦遇到汽车自燃，应该如何应对？及时自救很重要！
1、行驶途中发现车头部分冒出火苗或黑烟时，立即靠边停车，然后熄火，因为关闭电源能够迅速断开油泵，减少汽油燃烧；
2、关闭电源后，迅速离开燃烧的车辆；同时拨打119求救；
3、离开车厢后马上拿灭火器去查看火情，不要贸然打开汽车前舱盖，应先开条小缝，等氧气进入一会儿后，再慢慢全部打开用灭火器扑救；
4、用灭火器扑救时，应对准油箱和燃烧部分降温灭火，避免爆炸；
5、如果投了汽车自燃险，必须做到：保护好汽车自燃现场；在拨打119时，同时要求对方派火灾调查人员一同到现场，因为到保险公司进行理赔时，必须要由火灾调查人员出具的调查文书作为依据。
