其实自动挡车型起步并不差，只是很多车主有两点没做对。一般我们在开车的时候，油门踩得越紧，车子的动力越强，所以很多人在起步的时候也喜欢猛踩油门，就是为了获得更高的起步速度。但是很多人都发现，我们在等红绿灯时，即使狠踩油门，自动挡的车型仍然比手动挡要慢上很多，也就是比较“没劲”，这样一比，自动挡就丝毫没有了优越感。
其实这样做完全是错误的，并不会为车子带来更高的起步速度。小编来为大家解释一下，很多人在开自动挡的车型时，喜欢“一D到底”，也就是利用D挡一直跑下去，连起步的时候也这样做。这就是自动挡车型起步慢的根本原因，因为D挡就是会影响车子的起步速度，这时候，无论你再怎么猛踩油门，依然不会得到很快的起步速度。
如果想要获得更快的起步速度，我们可以在起步时，将D挡换成S挡，也就是运动挡，这个挡位可以为车子带来更强的动力，不仅仅是在超车时可以使用，在起步时也有很好的效果。虽然在S挡上，换挡的速度会有所延迟，但是却可以让发动机保持长时间的高转速，然后获得较高的速度和扭力输出，这时候完成起步，自然是事半功倍了，甚至比手动挡车型还要优秀。
再有就是，我们在起步时不要猛踩了，因为这样的话，并不会为起步带来太大提升。我们都知道，如果想要起步快的话，就要在短时间内获得较高的提速，也就是说要让发动机的升档加快，所以我们可以先踩一脚油门，让发动机自行降挡之后，再次踩一脚油门，让发动机迅速的升挡，这样就可以获得更高的起步速度了，车子不会再有以前“没劲”的感觉。
