丰田汽车公司和铃木汽车公司宣布将在资本层面达成联盟，相互持有对方的少量股权。双方未来将发挥在各自领域的技术和产品优势，通过“继续保持竞争的同时，在新领域建立和深化合作关系”，以此来克服汽车行业所面临的新挑战。
经济日报-中国经济网综合外电报道，日本当地时间周三(8月28日)，丰田汽车公司和铃木汽车公司宣布将在资本层面达成联盟，相互持有对方的少量股权。其中，丰田计划出资约960亿日元(约合9.08亿美元)收购铃木4.94%的股份;而铃木将收购丰田约480亿日元(约合4.55亿美元)的股份，以丰田8月28日的收盘价来计算，铃木将持有丰田0.21%的股份。
对于这一合作，丰田和铃木在一份联合声明中表示，双方希望通过“继续保持竞争的同时，在新领域建立和深化合作关系”，以此来克服汽车行业所面临的新挑战。双方将发挥在各自领域的技术和产品优势。
早在2016年，丰田与铃木就已经开始探索建立合作伙伴关系，以此来应对新技术的挑战，并跟上汽车行业整合的需求。今年3月，双方正式宣布结盟，共同生产电动汽车和小型车。
事实上，铃木一直专注于经济实惠的小型车，同时也投入大量的资金用于研发自动驾驶等新技术。铃木方面透露，将把200亿日元的收益用来开发包括自动驾驶在内的新技术，其余部分将用于补充其资本。
相比之下，丰田在本财年的研发预算约为铃木的七倍，而且还一直寻求扩大下一代技术的规模。今年6月，丰田提出了自己的目标：到2025年，其全球销量的一半将来自电动汽车，比计划提前5年，并将利用中国电池制造商来应对全球加速向电动汽车的转变。
今年，丰田还表示将公开其在EV电机和电源控制单元的专利，以此来扩展新技术的硬件生产规模。丰田方面认为，它的这一举措将有助于减少在零部件方面的成本支出。“成本飙升是竞争对手之间联手合作的原因”，铃木方面透露称。在与大众汽车公司“分手”后，铃木一直在寻求与一家大型汽车制造商合作。
对于丰田和铃木的合作，麦格理资本证券(日本)有限公司的分析师珍妮特-刘易斯(Janet Lewis)分析认为，“丰田正在以有吸引力的估值获得铃木，这与丰田和马自达之间的相互投资非常相似”。
近来，全球汽车制造商之间频频联手，以此来削减新技术的开发和制造成本。福特汽车公司和大众汽车公司表示，双方将投入数十亿美元共同开发电动和自动驾驶汽车。
此外，通用汽车与本田汽车之间的合作更是频繁。早在2013年，两家公司就宣布合作开发下一代燃料电池系统和氢储存技术。2018年10月，本田和通用及旗下的自动驾驶公司Cruise达成合作，计划开发一款针对全球市场的可量产的自动驾驶汽车。为此，本田向Cruise投资7.5亿美元，并承诺未来12年向该项目投入约20亿美元。今年5月，通用与本田在电动车与智能电网协同方面进一步深化合作。
这些合作，其实都是跨国汽车巨头在电动化和智能化浪潮下，追逐规模效应，以求控制管理成本的普遍选择。(经济日报-中国经济网记者 王跃跃 编译)
