9 月 11 日，吉利汽车正式公布了旗下全新车型SX12的正式名称——“icon”。新车是吉利CONCEPT ICON概念车的量产版车型，定位为紧凑型 SUV，并有望在年内上市。
关于“icon”的含义，吉利官方表示，“icon”意欲向时代偶像致敬，对未来新一代汽车发起探索。同时，“icon”也意欲打破当前“同质化”、“跟风式”造车风潮，引领未来全球车超前来临，重新定义 SUV 和人车生活，在当下提前享受未来。
其实在 icon 还被叫做 SX12 的时候，就已经在工信部的申报目录中出现了。新车的前格栅与目前吉利家族化的涟漪格栅有所区别，采用堆叠的回纹设计，并将这种设计应用在车尾，形成前后呼应。不过申报图中门把手是传统的门把手，预告图中采用了隐藏式，不知道后期量产车中会如何。
新车尾部将前脸的“回”字设计拆分，中央加入了牌照框。尾灯组造型方正，内部结构依然融入“回”字元素，看起来整体感更强。车身尺寸方面，新车的长宽高分别为 4 350 / 1 810 / 1 615 mm，轴距为 2640 mm。
从内饰谍照可以明显的看出，新车采用了几何品牌 LOGO，但与几何A 采用的悬浮式中控屏和简约的中控区域设计风格有所区别，嵌入式中控屏、空调出风口、档把的设计整体看起来反而有几分领克品牌的气质。
动力方面，根据之前的申报信息，icon 会搭载 1.5T 发动机，最大功率 130kW（177PS），峰值扭矩 255 N·m。但 icon 的 LOGO 采用的是几何汽车的量子盾标，相关人士曾猜测这款车是几何B，但最终会不会推出新能源版本，还有待考证，说不定下一批的申报目录就有它。
