近日，工信部最新一期《新能源汽车推广应用推荐车型目录》 （2019 年 第 8 批）公布，奇瑞新能源新款小蚂蚁车型现身。新车外观部分与现款相比没有变化，延续了呆萌的设计风格比较容易讨好年轻消费者，而且这个外观造型还属于男女通吃的类型。
申报车型采用了蓝色钢轮毂，推断为最低配车型，未来该版本可能会主推共享汽车市场。除此之外，新车也有铝合金轮毂版本可供消费者选择，双色车身，玻璃车顶以及日间行车灯等都有配备，预计车型配置会与现款大致相同。
动力部分，新车延用现款最大功率为30kw（40Ps），最大扭矩120N·m的永磁同步电机，续航里程也依然保持在NEDC综合工况301公里的水平。
值得注意的是，新车将现款车型所使用的三元锂电池更换为了磷酸铁锂电池，电池电芯由宁德时代新能源科技股份有限公司提供。在电池系统能量密度上，新车为140.2Wh/kg，老款三元锂版本为140.9Wh/kg，参数基本保持持平。由此可以看出，在众多车企弃用磷酸铁锂的这些年里，铁电池技术水平相较于几年前有了明显突破，其成组后的系统能量密度基本已经和NCM523和NCM622三元锂电芯成组后能量密度相当。
磷酸铁锂电池安全性要优于三元锂电池，并且具有长寿命的优势。更为关键的是，磷酸铁锂电池成本要低于三元锂电池，随着2020年补贴推出，换装磷酸铁锂电池这一技术路线是应对补贴退坡最直接有效的办法。其实在奇瑞之前，江淮新能源已经开始为旗下产品搭载磷酸铁锂电池，并且同款产品还有搭载三元锂电池的高续航版本可选，形成了多样化产品策略。相信奇瑞新能源未来也不会将三元锂版本的小蚂蚁停产，而是会同时销售，让不同需求消费者都有选择。随着未来补贴的取消，越来越多的车企或将会推出搭载磷酸铁锂电池版本的车型。
