大概在2004年，那年的我仍是一名小学四年级的孩童，汽车认知水平也如我当时所掌握的文化知识一样稀少，还记得当时遇到一台“四眼圆灯”的轿车，我一度误以为它是一台宾利，直接后来通过杂志了解到它的真实身份，实际是起亚欧菲莱斯。
几年后，再次遇到另一台韩系高端车型——雅科仕，加长的B柱、双色车身、外加飞翼式立标，这台车很容易被人误以为是劳斯莱斯。无论欧菲莱斯还是雅科仕，在这两台车身上确实散发着豪华车独有的气场和味道。
随着车型的更新迭代和消费需求提升，现代起亚集团不仅推出了全新雅科仕，并且还带来了品牌旗舰车型捷恩斯。但由于品牌力度等客观因素，捷恩斯与雅科仕均没能在中国市场获得成功，两者的“能见度”甚至比劳斯宾利更低，但我仍有幸亲眼目睹它的真容，修长的车身、机具立体感的设计，它拥有的气质和气场丝毫不亚于BBA任何一台旗舰。
但气场归气场，雅科仕和捷恩斯的骨子里始终是一台现代，花50万甚至小一百万购买一台韩系车，并非所有土豪都能做出的行为。俗话说在哪里跌倒就在哪里爬起来，现代汽车总结失败教训，希望将旗下豪华车型归到独立的高端品牌中，以此提升品牌形象，于是推出了全新子品牌Genesis（捷尼赛思），但相比起全新品牌的中文名称，我更喜欢捷恩斯这个旧名字。
今年的中国国际进口博览会上，全新旗舰Genesis G90首次在国内市场亮相，这也意味着现代汽车高端车型将以全新方式进入中国。
近几年来，韩系品牌设计风格缺乏令人惊艳的感觉，甚至部分车型的设计引来了不少争议，G90也是如此。在G90官图刚刚发布之时，前脸设计就引来了网上一片吐槽。相比起BBA设计风格，G90的前脸确实有点另类，但我个人觉得这种设计算不上丑，或许捷尼赛思设计师希望通过这种颇具立体感和视觉冲击的设计手法来营造沉稳大气的效果，乍一看似乎还有点凶狠的气势，挺符合高端车型的定位。
G90侧面最吸引眼球的部分莫过于条幅密集的19寸“锅盖式”轮毂，与迈巴赫S级所采用的“大饼圈”有着异曲同工之处，这种风格的轮毂对车身设计有着较高要求，一般车型难以驾驭，但对豪华感的提升有着重要作用。
前翼子板处的装饰带有LED灯带，这实际上就是侧面转向灯，现如今基本上所有车型的侧面转向灯都集成在后视镜上，G90这种“复古”设计也算是一股清流，个人认为倒不如将其设计成装饰灯组，夜晚视觉效果更好。
尾部采用层次感较为丰富的设计元素，尾灯为贯穿式设计，而且上下灯组为独立分层，尾箱盖顶部还带有“小鸭尾”造型，提升了运动效果。
与此前的同门高端车型相同，捷尼赛思G90也将继续推出加长版车型，加长部分依然在B柱，加长之后的车长和轴距分别达到5486mm和3449mm，足足比标轴版车型多了279mm和289mm。
新款G90的外观相比老款车型可谓是有着彻头彻尾的改变，全新设计风格营造出了更加高档且年轻化的效果，但内饰的变化则没有外观来得明显，依旧保持较为传统的豪华车设计。
嵌入式屏幕与仪表连为一体，让中控更具科技感，但细看发现，G90的仪表依旧采用机械指针+液晶屏幕的设计组合，相比起其它品牌旗舰的全液晶仪表，G90的科技感和功能性还是差了点意思。
韩系品牌豪华车都非常喜爱使用四幅方向盘，或许是为了让内饰显得更加沉稳大气，但说实话，G90的方向盘样式略显老气了。
但还在内部配置和车厢用料符合旗舰车型该有的表现，中控台、门板都采用真皮和木质材料覆盖，出风口中央也安装了一块石英表，同时前排还带有座椅通风/加热、方向盘加热等舒适配置。
标轴版
加长版
但对于旗舰轿车而言，车厢重点肯定在于后排，G90标轴版和加长版都采用四座布局（暂不知是否有五座版本），后排独立座椅由Nappa菱形纹皮质包裹，支持多角度电动调节，加长版车型更是配备了两张带有腿拖的航空座椅，舒适性毋容置疑，后排豪华感也能与BBA旗舰轿车相媲美。
动力部分，捷尼赛思G90提供3.8L V6、3.3T V6以及5.0L V8三款发动机可选，三者的最大功率分别为308马力、370马力以及413马力，在严苛的国6排放政策之下，G90还能全系搭载六缸及更多缸数发动机实属难得。三款发动机匹配的均为8AT变速箱，同时提供四驱系统供消费者选择。
带着现代起亚全品牌的期望，新款G90重振旗鼓卷土重来，光从静态部分和纸面参数来看，捷尼赛思G90确实有着较强的产品力，但若要跟BBA旗舰展开竞争，G90似乎还是不够料，例如科技化配置不够全面，同时还缺少人无我有的配置和设计，配置同质化很难让它的卷土重来获得成功，除非土豪都它的外观情有独钟，或者是只想追求低调，否则实在是想不到更多放弃BBA而购买它的理由。
