家用轿车类，如果您只是偶尔一次或者并非总是要走冰雪路段，选择钢铁质量的防滑链对车体损伤会较大，噪音也大，铁质的优点在于耐用，防滑效果好。而橡胶或牛筋质的防滑链比起铁质防滑链更适合家用车，噪音小，安装也方便，防滑效果也不错。
重型货车等，货车的话一般使用钢铁质的防滑链，对比橡胶或牛筋质的防滑效果好，经久耐用，毕竟货车的重量与使用程度都比家用的车大很多。
橡胶或牛筋质防滑链与铁质防滑链，各有优点，所以对车友的建议为，小型家用车，用噪音小，不伤轮胎的橡胶或牛筋质防滑链。货车或者经常跑冰雪路的车友，最好使用经久耐用，防滑效果好的铁质防滑链。 下面我就牛筋防滑链与橡胶防滑链两种材质的防滑链的优劣势作以简要的分析。
牛筋防滑链，也叫聚氨酯防滑链。此种材质的防滑链外观漂亮，重量也轻盈，但在低温下易出现断裂。主要是因为牛筋的主要构成是塑料，在严寒、低温情况下，极易变脆变硬而产生断裂，给雪地行车安全造成威胁。同时，牛筋制防滑链在安装过程中由于链体遇低温变硬，很难与胎面完整贴合。
橡胶防滑链，此种材质的防滑链由于采用的纯橡胶，而橡胶具有较高的弹性以及耐寒性等，因此橡胶制防滑链具有极强的抗拉性和延展性，且能在零下40度的低温下不出现断裂情况。橡胶制防滑链由于延展性好，安装起来更方便，安装完成的防滑链与胎面能达到完整贴合。
通过两者的分析，可以看出橡胶防滑链明显优于牛筋防滑链。不过价格上也略微高于牛筋防滑链。不过为了雪地行车的安全，建议选择质量较好的橡胶防滑链。装的时候一定装在驱动轮上，大家对于防滑链还有什么好的想法和建议，也可分享给大家！
