红旗汽车，作为一个从不为人民造车的车企，旗下的几款车型寥寥可数，而更为尴尬的是起步价最起码都是H7这种二十几万的，更别提高达500万的L5了。可以说是一个一直远离人民的高冷的车企。而红旗这几年的冰块脸，终于让市场都忍不了了，一年的销量都不如哈弗H6的一个月的零头。
最终，红旗也知道高处不胜寒了，这次的上海车展推出了一款平民豪车，并且一改红旗车型老谋深算的款式，一下子年轻化的许多，这款就是红旗H5。
外观上，全新的红旗H5的前脸采用了扇形的镀铬进气格栅设计，而直瀑样式的镀铬恢弘大气，两侧的大灯组则细长孤傲，整个前脸稳重中又不缺乏现代时尚感。而车头上的红旗车标则无疑是点睛之笔，这才是能让国人真正自豪的车标——红旗！
而全新红旗H5的车身腰线则笔直锋利，一直延续到车尾，流畅的车身工艺更显出一种无与伦比的稳重大气。尾部的造型则采用了轿跑式的工艺处理，屁股甚至比吉利博瑞都更加性感时尚，甚至讨年轻人的欢心。
在内饰上，红旗H5的整体风格偏重于商务时尚感，中控台采用了大量的软材质包裹手感极佳，而档把出采用的 木纹饰板铺垫更显档次感，并且采用的9寸的悬浮式可触液晶屏科技感十足。而真皮包裹的三幅式多功能方向盘以及后方的全液晶仪表盘都让这款车在驾驶上更具乐趣。
在配置部分，红旗也是拿出了十足的诚意，标配了ESP车身稳定系统、无钥匙进入、一键启动、电子手刹、自动驻车等热门装备。
而在动力上，则预计会搭载一款1.5T和一款2.0L的发动机，在传感器方面则会与之匹配一款6挡手动、5挡自动变速箱。而这款红旗H5的售价则可能10万起步甚至更低。值得一提的是，这款红旗H5竟然是一位女设计打造，而外观的精湛工艺，是让比亚迪的奥迪设计师都自愧不如的！
